WARLI PAINTING. ARTIST IS ANIL CHAITYA VANGAD.He is a well-known artist within the Warli art form. His works are a smorgasbord of familiar Warli motifs and often depict local myths and stories. The painting here is filled with numerous details that depict a distinct aspect of life in the Warli community. They have a deep connection with nature and most of their religious deities are based in or around wildlife. They also are devout followers of Shiva and Parvati, who can be seen at the very top of the painting under the sun. Farming and hunting are integral to the Warlis, depicted in vivid detail in this work. Anil Chaitya Vangad’s creations take the viewer on a journey of discovery.
