WARLI PAINTING. ARTIST IS ANIL CHAITYA VANGAD. Anil Chaitya Vangad’s Warli art pieces depict a rich variety of themes related to the Warli community. This painting portrays the harvest season and most people are seen involved in similar activities. They are working towards filling the village granary. On the top left corner a man taps palm juice from which toddy, a local variety of alcohol, will be produced. The Warlis live in perfect harmony with the natural world, coexisting in peace with wildlife. There is no clear demarcation between the wilderness and human habitat. The artist creates works that are like a slice of life for the community.
