The tree is represented with a stylized trunk and branches, adorned with leaves. The Bhil artworks represent the childlike innocence, curiosity, and humor that are inherent in all of us. In tribal culture, monkeys are considered symbols of playfulness, intelligence, and mischief, and they often appear in stories and legends along with birds and a squirrel. Sometimes squirrels are seen as symbols of grasping covetousness; because of their hoarding food for winter, they were seen as greedy. At other times they were seen as an affectionate friend.
