Gond Art Painting | The Story of The Gond Raja | Venkat Raman Singh Shyam (Venkat 01)

The painting is based on the story of the Gond Raja, Heerakhan Kshatriya. The king possessed the same capabilities as Hansraj Ghoda, a horse that could take flight and making anything possible due to the divine power it was bestowed with. The flying horse, one of the popular Gond folklore helped the king to win the battle against his maternal uncle who had beheaded the king’s father in the past. The art has a cone like pit in the earth with the branches on the either side. The horse helped the raja to be freed and win against all odds with the heavenly influences under which this was accomplished.
