Description
Warli art is one of the oldest indigenous forms in India and one of the most popular. This work by Ankush depicts the natural world and contains a lot of ritualistic significance for the Warli tribe. In the centre, the Tarpa dancers encircle the person playing the dhol, and the music seems to mesmerize the animals and the humans alike. There is a vibrant sense of celebration and festivities in this work.
