The Warli painting depicts the Shiva-Shakti and the holy Godavari Ganga river. Artist Anil Vangad uses his creative visualisation to showcase the journey of the sacred, life-giving River Godavari-Ganges as she descends upon the earth from Shiva?s locks. The Godavari-Ganga makes our land fertile for cultivation and supports life, both above and below the sea. The essence of the artwork, however, lies in the presence of Lord Shiva with his consort, Goddess Parvati, orchestrating it all.
