Description
Shantaram Chintya Tumbada’s artistic genius lies in how he presents a kaleidoscope of Warli iconography. The work here is authentication of the same. The artist brings in three worlds in the beautifully created sections. At the top is a spiral of birds, depicting the aerial world. An interesting thing to note here is the angels in the two corners. This is followed by the chambers of the deities, the shrine of Vaghaya Dev, the tiger God, can be noticed in the middle terrestrial realm which incorporates the spiritual plane. At the bottom are the hills of ant dwellings turning into a zigzag pattern to their path underneath alluding to the subterranean domain.
