Description
Traditionally, the lives of this forest-dwelling Santhal tribe have been intertwined with the music. The prolonged closeness with flora and fauna is reflected in the worldview of Jadu Pata art. So, the Santhal tribe have been living closely with the forest and they have been interacting for a long time with the flora and fauna of the forest. This understanding and closeness are reflected in the entire artwork. The art also reflects this connection with all elements of nature. Jadu Pattachitra has been practiced by the tribe for centuries adorning walls of the homes in the village with a strong belief system.
