Description
This artwork depicts a typical village scene in the Bhil tribal populated areas, the predominance of bullock farming system and poor socio-economic condition of the Bhil people. An art form with deep connections with nature, Bhil art is usually characterized by dotted line patterns. The iconography of this form includes motifs of animals, birds, trees, mythological figures, etc. Colours derived from natural pigments are used often in Bhil works which lends an organic quality to them.
