GOND ART PAINTING | SYMBOLIC ART: BIRD, TREE, AND DEITIES IN CONVERSATION (KPT 29)

In the center, a solitary bird stands upright, mimicking the stance of a human with an open beak, as if engaged in a conversation. The human figures seem oblivious, their gazes are directed elsewhere. The bird’s body cast a long shadow against the vibrant yellow backdrop. The scene shifts abruptly to the forefront, where a majestic, multi-colored tree takes to the continuity of the artwork. On either side of the tree stand imposing statues of deities, their expressions etched with sorrow and reverence. One man tenderly wipes away the tears of the weeping figure, while the other offers nourishment to its counterpart. The contrast between the vibrant colors of the background and the muted tones of the foreground creates a sense of pressure and uneasiness. The bird's futile attempt to communicate with the humans and the poignant expressions of the statues suggest a world out of balance, where communication is lost and empathy is lacking.

Gond Art Painting | Tranquil Peacocks Await Rain | Artist Kaushal | Medium Size | 26"x36" | KPT 33

A stunning Gond painting by artist Kaushal Prasad Tekam. In this image peacocks are perched on a tree waiting for the rain to pour. The hues of green, brown, purple, and orange fill up the tree, while the peacocks are painted in rust tones. The painting has a sense of serenity and tranquility. The viewer can feel the anticipation of the peacocks waiting to dance in the nature’s showers.
