Saura Art. Artist is Manas Kumar Das. Ghumra Dance- Saura paintings almost always become a victim of mistaken identity. The reason being that the-less-promoted Saura with origins in Orissa and the-very-popular Warli from Maharashtra seem separated at birth. Ghumra dance very similar to tarpa dance of warli tribe is found performed in each and every part of the district of Kalahandi.The villagers form a group, may be informal or formal, and perform the dance on different occasion. The purpose of the dance was to perform in the religious occasion,like fairs and festivals like Nuakhai (new rice ceremony) Puspuni, Dasahara, and someother occasions.
